Your sheep and goats are sure to love this Warm Season Sheep/Goat Grazing Mix designed just for them. With small ruminants in mind, we've create a grazing mix with ingredients that are not only highly palatable, but also highly nutritious.

A plethora of legumes offers an excellent protein source for your small ruminants. We also use a dwarf variety of sorghum sudan ensuring the crop doesn't get too tall for the smaller animals and they can utilize the forage much easier. A diversity of brassicas and broadleaves like forage collards, sunflowers, okra, and more ensures a highly diverse diet for your sheep or goats.

    What's in the Mix

    Planting Instructions

    Drill seed at 3/4" to 1" depth or broadcast and lightly incorporate when soil temperatures are 60 degrees or higher.

    Timing

    Wait to plant until after the last frost and soil temperatures are above 60 degrees and rising. Planting of these mixes should be completed by midsummer.

    When is the right time to plant?

    Warm Season Sheep/Goat Grazing Mix has a minimum germination temp of 60 °F. Reference your average soil temperature to determine ideal planting time.

    Seeding Rate

    Plant 22 pounds per acre when seeding with a no-till drill or other planting implement and 40 pounds per acre when broadcasting.
