Spring Trio (Oats/Peas/Barley)

    Description

This mix has the power to add lots of diversity, especially in a landscape that is accustomed to monocultures. The oats, peas, and barley immediately add diversity to a rotation of corn, beans, and perhaps wheat. These fast establishing species will be quick to take root and begin suppressing weeds. They also attract beneficial microbes and fungi underground, keeping the plants and soil healthier. Additionally, this combo will provide nutrition to a whole host of livestock animals. From a big picture perspective, this mix can add diversity in a variety of different ways at a low cost.

This product is pre-inoculated with Elevate'd Fungi and Rhizo-Fixer Plus, to increase the biological activity in your soil.
    • Elevate'd Fungi is a seed applied inoculant derived from natural products designed to stimulate seed germination, increase root and biological biomass in the soil, and improve soil structure. OMRI status has been applied for and is pending.
    • Bolster L Inoculant contains multiple families of nitrogen-fixing rhizobia bacteria plus Azospirillum Brasiliense (free living N fixer) and two phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria, Pantoea Eucalypti and Pseudomonas Baetica.
Note these inoculants are NOT currently OMRI approved, however many of our certified organic customers have received approval to use these products. Please contact your certifier and refer to these documents before using this product on organic certified land.
