Pasture Frost Seed Mix

The Pasture Frost Seed mix is designed to add diversity to an existing pasture and works great planted in late winter/early spring before the frost is out of the ground. 

Two types of clover provide the bulk of the mix helping your pasture fix nitrogen and providing livestock with protein. Korean lespedeza adds a warm season legume component which will thrive during the heat of the summer. Chicory and plantain are known for their antimicrobial and antiparasitic properties in livestock, helping keep your herd healthy.

    Planting Instructions

    Broadcast seed onto frozen ground or snow in late winter/early spring. Allow "freeze-thaw" process to work the seed into the ground.

    Timing

    Planting should occur in late winter or early spring before the frost is out of the ground.

    When is the right time to plant?

    Pasture Frost Seed Mix has a minimum germination temp of 40 °F. Reference your average soil temperature to determine ideal planting time.

    Based on my past experiences, Green Cover is always on time and delivers high quality products. How they perform in the field really depends on the end user. It's too early to discuss the products productivity but the birds love it.
