Family Matters Mix (12 Families)

    Description

A riff off one of our core values, this mix packs a diversity punch with 12 different plant families represented. Diversity in a mix means diversity in the soil. God designed ecosystems to be diverse and this mix helps you achieve just that.

This mix contains plants from the legume, grass, brassica, aster, mint, polygonaceae, mallow, linaceae, boraginaceae, amaranth, cucurbit and apiaceae families. Many soil experts believe the more plant families represented in a field the more healthy, vibrant and efficient that soil and subsequent crop will be. Think of a forest or a stretch of native prairie. All those species work together to stay optimally healthy, providing benefits for all the organisms around them. We've also seen that planting a desirable species from the same plant family of a hard to control weed, can suppress growth of that weed.

Though this mix has fewer total species than some of our other mixes, the diversity in plant families makes it the most diverse mix we offer. If adding plant diversity is your number one goal this is the mix for you.

    Use this mix to...

    • add diversity
    • improve nutrient cycling
    • suppress weeds

    Ideal for...

    • gardeners and homesteaders
    • farmers

These seeds are non-GMO and not treated with pesticides.

This product is pre-inoculated with Elevate'd Fungi and RhizoBac X-Tend to increase the biological activity in your soil. Both products are OMRI approved.
