This diverse blend not only attracts and nourishes bucks but also enhances soil health. Packed with several species of protein-rich legumes and brassicas, as well as nutrient-dense cereal grains, this mix is engineered to thrive from early season through the cold of winter and into spring when it’s time to plant a summer blend.  This blend can suppress weeds while providing high-quality. As a result, it attracts deer from the start of season and helps them be ready to produce antlers and fawns the next spring. 

Pro Tip: To attract and feed deer throughout the year, drill or broadcast the Summer Release blend into the Fall Release blend during the late spring.

This product is pre-inoculated with the Green Boost 2.0 Biology Package, so you can reduce your fertilizer usage. Green Boost 2.0 includes:

  • MycoGreen NPK is a dual inoculant containing ten functionally diverse mycorrhizal fungi and eight bacterial species.
  • Elevate'd Fungi is a seed applied inoculant derived from natural products designed to stimulate seed germination, increase root and biological biomass in the soil, and improve soil structure. 
  • RhizoBac X-Tend features high concentrations of multi-species nitrogen fixing rhizobia for peas, vetch, cowpeas, sunn hemp and soybeans. Additionally, free living nitrogen fixing and phosphorus solubilizing bacteria combine for a robust broad spectrum seed treatment for your cover crops.

    What's in the Mix

    Planting Instructions

    Fall Release is best seeded using a no-till drill or other seeding device and placing seed at a depth of 1/4" to 1/2". It can also be broadcast into areas with minimal plant competition such as a new plot or one where a seedbed has recently been prepared. Light incorporation or dragging can help with seed to soil contact but don't cover seeds with more than 3/4” of soil.

    Timing

    Fall Release should be planted 6-8 weeks before the first average frost date during the fall and when there’s adequate soil moisture or a forecast of rain.

    When is the right time to plant?

    Fall Release has a minimum germination temp of 40 °F. Reference your average soil temperature to determine ideal planting time.

    Best fall planting seed

    This is the second year planting fall blend.
    The mix is great for late season feeding. Deer will leave it alone until a hard frost then it is devoured.
    They return to dig up the roots all winter.

    Pretty consistent

    Been planting fall release for a few years now. This year in a pretty good drought in effect for central NY. Planted before decent rain September 4th, only rained one more time in a month. Everything popped, cereals look good, brassicas need some moisture. All and all pretty good!
