    The Cool Season Sheep/Goat Grazing Mix is designed with sheep and goats in mind. This diverse mix of cool season legumes, grasses, brassicas, and broadleaves makes a perfect forage for those small ruminants during the spring or fall months.

    An ideal blend of highly palatable cool season species such as clovers, peas, vetch, barley and oats make up the bulk of the forage producing species in this mix. Rounded out by a diverse array of brassicas like collards and turnips along with broadleaves such as phacelia, flax and safflower make this an excellent grazing mix. 

    Your livestock will love this mix due to its high palatability and they will thrive on the nutrition provided.

        What's in the Mix

        Planting Instructions

        Drill seed at 3/4" to 1" depth or broadcast and lightly incorporate when soil temperatures are 40 degrees or higher.

        Timing

        Planting can occur in spring or early fall when soil temperatures are going to stay between 40-70 degrees for at least a month. Ideally would have 6 weeks of growth before a frost in your area.

        When is the right time to plant?

        Cool Season Sheep/Goat Grazing Mix has a minimum germination temp of 40 °F. Reference your average soil temperature to determine ideal planting time.
