    Barricade Grazing Mix is designed to flourish in low rainfall environments. This mix of tall fescue, meadow brome, smooth brome, intermediate wheatgrass and creeping wheatgrass provides the perfect balance for all dryland pasture or hay situations. These species are all adapted to low rainfall environments and can produce lots of biomass in these situations. Barricade is an excellent option for spring, fall and winter grazing.

        What's in the Mix

        Planting Instructions

        Drill seed at 1/4" depth or broadcast and lightly incorporate.

        Timing

        Planting can occur in spring or early fall when soil temperatures are going to stay between 40-70 degrees for at least a month. Ideally would have 6 weeks of growth before a frost in your area.

        When is the right time to plant?

        Barricade Grazing Mix has a minimum germination temp of 40 °F. Reference your average soil temperature to determine ideal planting time.

        Seeding Rate

        Plant 20 pounds per acre when seeding with a no-till drill or other planting implement and 30 pounds per acre when broadcasting.
